The Nelson Poynter Memorial Library is the cornerstone of the academic experience at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. Committed to anticipating the needs of our community, our dedicated faculty and staff strive to be the gateway to the world’s information. We work hand-in-hand with students and faculty in their journey to find, evaluate, utilize, create, and preserve the knowledge they need to be successful.

Experiencing the Johns Committee Through Primary Resources
Andy Huse created a great online exhibit with primary documents about how the University of South Florida survived the Johns Committee’s investigations. Jim Schnur, Librarian, Special Collections and University Archives, provided some curatorial guidance at a distance since he had worked with many of the primary sources. Jim also did an oral history interview that talks about how our University has been a “fighter and survivor” and has maintained its Accent on Learning despite the Johns Committee investigations and other attacks.
