Finding Films and Documentaries in the Library Catalog

(If you are off campus, login using your (Net ID and password)

1.  Go to the Library Homepage

2.  Select the Books/Catalog tab

3. Enter the search term and select the Advanced Search 

4. Use the drop down Format menu and select Streaming Video

Finding DVDs and Videos in the Nelson Poynter Library

The Nelson Poynter Library's media collection is located on the first floor.

Finding DVDs and VHS in the Library Catalog

4.On the left hand side of the screen select the Format to show more... then select the intended Video (Blu-Ray, DVD, VHS or all formats)

*Be sure that the physical video is located at USF LIBRARY-St. Petersburg

Watching Films

Faculty, staff, and students can watch films in the Video Viewing Room 229 located on the 2nd floor in OLITS (Online Learning and Instructional Technology Services)You may check out the room key at the Circulaiton Desk for 3 hours at a time.

DVD Players in Classrooms

DVD players in clasrooms should be able to play DVDs from any region code. 

MyStudio Booth

 

Located on the 2nd floor of the Nelson Poynter Memoriable Library, MyStudio Booth allows users to create high-quality video projects without having to know anything about video cameras or editing. Faculty, staff or students will enter the room and insert their USB thumb drive into a Crestron HD recorder. After loading their presentation up on the computer, they simply hit the RECORD button. When finished, the user will hit the STOP button and remove the thumb drive. When the users exit the room, they will have a high quality HD MP4 video in hand to upload to Canvas or to play back in a classroom.
