Regular InterLibrary Loan of print books from non-USF libraries has been suspended at this time. 

Request Books from the USF Libraries 

During USF’s COVID-19 response, you can request items from our Circulating or Recreational Reading Collections to be retrieved and sent to you. Items will be checked-out to your account and can be renewed online through the duration of the event. Use the form below to submit a request. 

  • Limit requests to ten (10) items per day.
  • Shipments leave the library Monday-Friday by 3:00PM – please allow time for your requests to arrive.

  • The USF St Petersburg library exterior book drop is open for USF faculty and students who wish to return their books, calculators, and other materials

Book Chapter Document Deliery

Document Delivery from the USF Libraries 

USF St Petersburg faculty and students can request book chapters and journal articles from the USF St Petersburg and USF Tampa libraries to be scanned and made available electronically via their ILL accounts.  


Who can borrow books? 

  • Borrowing from the USF Libraries during this time is limited only to current USF faculty and students.  
  • Community members and individuals from affiliate institutions are unable to borrow items from the USF St Petersburg library at this time.   

How quickly can I expect my books? 

  • USF St Petersburg library staff will pull and mail you your requested books as quickly as possible.  However, should members of our Access Services staff become ill, delivery time might be slower than ideal.  We ask for your patience as we do our best to ensure the health of our staff in tandem with providing you access to our materials. 

Can I borrow items from other university libraries? 

  • USF faculty and students can borrow print books from the USF St Petersburg and USF Tampa libraries 
  • Inter Library Loan of materials between universities has been suspended at this time.   
  • UBorrow Inter-Library Loan service is suspended at this time 

Do I still need to return my books? 

  • Yes.  Please return books when they are due to our exterior book drop or mail your books to the USF St Petersburg library
