Online Learning and Instructional Technology Services Department serves as a model of excellence in providing integrated support for pedagogy and technology that supports university research, teaching, and learning. We are dedicated to working with faculty and staff to create a collaborative approach to instructional and curriculum development, to design new classroom learning environments, and to harness the power of technology in order to achieve academic and research excellence. The department is organized into the following units: Online Learning Support Services and Classroom Technology Support Services.
Provides support for faculty teaching online and blended courses in a variety of ways including instructional design consultation, assistance in the development of courses and course materials, and Quality Matters Certification.
Provides a variety of professional development to support our faculty. Technology and pedagogy workshops are offered face-to-face, online, and on demand.
Supports learning environments and teaching technologies through the design and integration of technology spaces and providing technical support to more than 50 general-use classrooms to enhance student learning.
Provides a location to obtain an official USFSP ID Card which is required for all faculty, staff, and students per USF policy.
To request support for new course development, re-design, or minor updates complete the Distance Learning Support Request Form. Include the details of the work to be done and your support needs. Submit this form to your Dean's office. Once signed, they will submit the completed form to our office.
It is recommended that you consult with your Instructional Designer prior to submission to answer any questions and discuss possibilities.
