STUDENTS FACULTY
Student Identification
As a USF student, you are required to have a USF ID card, a USF NetID, and an official USF student email address. Learn how to obtain your card, activate your NetID, and sign up for your university email address.

Online Course Support
 The Office of Academic Affairs, with the support of the Deans, has established a multi-pronged program for the development and support of distance/online learning courses and course development.

Course Registration
 Before the beginning of each semester, you will need to register for your courses using OASIS, USF’s Online Access Student Information System. Learn the basics of OASIS, search for courses, view the academic calendar, or visit the Registrar’s website.

Instructional Design
 The Online Learning Service’s team of Instructional Designers serves as a resource for faculty members developing or renewing online and blended courses.  Instructional Designers work with instructors to transport current materials into digital format.

Learning Management
You will use a learning management system called Canvas to help you access your online course content. Find helpful information about how to use Canvas, and learn about successful online collaboration.

Instructional Technology Services
ITS provides services that support the teaching and research efforts of USFSP. Classroom Technology is a joint operation between ITS and Campus Computing that supports the educational technology needs of faculty and students in a classroom setting.

Technical Support
USF Information Technology (IT) is here to assist you when you experience technical difficulties while taking your courses. Learn more about the many types of technical support offered at USF.

Quality Matters Certification
A faculty centered, peer review process designed to certify the quality of online and blended courses. As part of our continuous effort to improve the quality of our online courses, USFSP subscribed to the Quality Matters program.

Academic Support
USF has developed a variety of resources to help you achieve your academic goals. Learn about tutoring services, test preparation resources, career services, the counseling center and more.

Professional Development
(OLITS) offers a variety of professional development training to support the online faculty of USFSP through workshops designed for our busy faculty in one-hour blocks as face-to-face training in the OLITS area on the second floor of the library, POY219 during various days and times throughout the semester.

Accessibility
 Accessibility resources are available for the Learning Management System (Canvas), Student Disability Services, and the library.   Software provided by Student Technology Fee is available in the Library and Student Disability Services.

OLITS Communications Outreach
Through various communications methods including Harborside News messages, WordPress Wednesday,  Monday Minute Videos, and the DL Blog, OLITS gets pertinent information to Faculty.

Cost to Attend & Financial Aid
Financial aid is available to assist students in covering the costs of education. It is available in several different forms, including loans, scholarships and grants.

Research at a Distance
 Information compiled in the Research @ Distance for Faculty list contacts, services, and direct chat with a  librarian assistance.

Academic Integrity
All USFSP students are expected to demonstrate the highest level of honesty and responsibility. Learn about USF’s Academic Integrity Policy.

Instructional Technology Technical Support
The Information Technology Helpdesk offers help via phone or Internet.  Canvas support videos and guides are also available, and direct course design support services are offered through the Online Learning and Instructional Technology Services department.

Accessibility
Connect OLITS strives to ensure that the courses created with support from our Instructional Designers are accessible to all including individuals with disabilities.  Workshops every semester help faculty and staff focus on accessibility and universal design for instruction.

 Online Proctoring
In order to ensure academic integrity, USFSP offers an online proctoring solution online.  Through Proctorio, technical support for students is available via email, or phone at 813-774-3826 or toll-free at 844-394-8815

Through the USF Portal You can use your USF NetID to access a variety of password-protected information and resources.
