Personal Narrative

Karla is the Manager of Instructional Design Services with Online Learning and Instructional Technology Services at Nelson Poynter Library and Adjunct Faculty in the College of Education at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. Karla also serves as the Chair of the Distance Learning Accessibility Committee and as a Quality Matters Coordinator for the institution. She is a certified Peer Reviewer and workshop facilitator with Quality Matters along with various certifications from the eLearning Guild. Current projects include research on the benefits of closed captioning in online courses to students with and without disabilities.
